Lo!

A little something came to my house yesterday which I was very excited about & that little something is a snack pack I was really eager to open the snack pack from which is from a company called Lo!, Lo! is a low carb keto-friendly snack. I started to consume fewer carbohydrates and more proteins in my diet.

In the beginning, I was really excited to see this product the packaging looks so amazing and the package also comes along with the Ziploc, so we don’t need a separate container to store the product. Lo! has low carbohydrate little high on protein and high fiber. The package I received had :

  1. Almond cookies
  2. Coconut Cookies
  3. Murukus (popular known as Chakli)
  4. South Indian mixture
  5. Chocolate

The first thing I really wanted to try was the almond cookies and the same was the first packet I opened they tasted just fine and I feel that they do not justify as a cookie. A cookie is something (in my view) which is soft from inside and crunchy outside this cookie is totally hard, very difficult to eat there are times when I use my jaws to crush them. That was the first disappointment I got.

The second disappointment was they use artificial sweetener stevia, I am not a huge fan of stevia and it actually leaves a weird aftertaste for me whenever I eat artificial sweeteners I would rather prefer brown sugar over artificial sweeteners. Later I was like let’s give Lo! the benefit of the doubt and let’s try the coconut cookie so when I tried the coconut cookie it was no different from that of Almond cookie, I mean, it was the same hard cookie which is hard to eat and the size of the cookie is so small it barely fits into your hands, it’s very hard to eat and of course with artificial sweeteners total disappointment. Then I tried the south Indian mixture which consists of a lot of peanuts and every bite I took I would taste peanuts more than the mixture, to be honest, it tasted well with the peanuts and the dough is really good of the mixture. Lo! products are made using a whole range of Superfoods, including Seeds such as Sunflower, Flax, Melon, Pumpkin; Coconut, and millets which considerably has lower carbohydrates than that of Besan. They tried to make it as low carb as possible which is great and it definitely gives you a feeling of having a nice Indian snack at a very reasonable level of carbohydrates.

The 4th product is Murukku, the great thing about murukku is its crunch. It is made with seed mix, it also contains rice flour and urad dal flour. They taste good and gives a very tough competition for our traditional unhealthy ones 😛 Lo! Murukku is a good low card option for people on diet. 🙂

The 5th and last one is the Keto chocolate, it tastes similar to dark chocolate but promises of low carbs which is more or less similar to the number of carbs in a bar of dark chocolate. made with Unsweetened Belgian Cocoa and Zero Sugar. I am not a huge fan of chocolates but yes it tasted exactly like dark chocolate.

I have given the link below for Lo! in case you are interested in buying or knowing the actual carb values you can visit: https://lofoods.fit/
